Beat or Miss

Call it before it lands.

A market on every earnings call. Wall Street sets the number. You call the beat or the miss before the company reports. Two outcomes, nothing in between.

01 / How it works.

Two outcomes. Nothing in between.

Every quarter, analysts publish a consensus for earnings per share. Then the company reports. The number lands above the line or below it, and the call is settled in a second.

  1. Pick a report.

Twenty-one companies with Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain, on one calendar, with the date, the time and the consensus.

  2. Make the call.

Beat if reported EPS comes in above the consensus. Miss if it comes in below. Exactly on the number is void.

  3. Watch it land.

Calls lock when report day begins in New York. Once the reported number is in, every call is graded.

    Coming soon

One market for every report on the calendar. Two sides. Settled by the number. It needs smart contracts that are not written yet, so today it is a design, not a product. Nothing on this site takes deposits.

    1. One market per report, opened once the company confirms its date.
    2. Two sides only. Beat or Miss.
    3. Settles on reported EPS against the consensus fixed when the market opens.
    4. Calls close when report day begins in New York.
    5. Exactly in line voids the market and returns every position.

Planned design. Details can change before anything ships, and there is no launch date yet.

    The token.

$BEAT is the community token of Beat or Miss. It launches on Pons, a launchpad on Robinhood Chain. The calendar and paper calls are free and need no token.

$BEAT is not a share in any company, not a Stock Token, and not a claim on any future market or its fees. Like any token, it can lose all of its value.

    06 / Questions.

    Plain answers.

    What counts as a beat?

Reported earnings per share above the analyst consensus for that quarter. Below it is a miss. Exactly on it is void. The page uses adjusted EPS and the Zacks Investment Research consensus, as published by Nasdaq.

Where do the dates and estimates come from?

From Nasdaq's public earnings pages, which carry Zacks data. Nasdaq does not allow other sites to read its data in the browser, so the page ships a dated snapshot and a small script refreshes it. The snapshot date is printed above the calendar.

What is the difference between confirmed and estimated?

A confirmed date was announced by the company. An estimated date is projected from the company's past reporting dates and can move. Your paper call stays attached to the quarter, not the date, so it follows the report if the date changes.

    Are paper calls bets?

No. They are practice. No money, no tokens and nothing onchain. They live in your browser's local storage, and clearing your browser data clears them.

When does the onchain market go live?

When its smart contracts are built and deployed. There is no date yet, and nothing on this site takes deposits today. Launch news goes out on X first.

Do I need $BEAT to use the calendar?

No. The calendar and paper calls are free for everyone.

Is Beat or Miss connected to Robinhood Markets or the companies listed?

No. Beat or Miss is an independent project. Tickers and company names are used only to identify the reports.
